Constitution and Rules
The following constitution and rules has been produced and reviewed by the club executive to confirm the standards and expected levels required from all members of the club.
The objects of the club shall be the promotion of the aims of the GAA as outlined in the official guide.
The club colours shall be red and white.
Membership will be £10 per member for family and individual membership with £1 for students. Membership to be paid by May 1st to ensure voting rights and access to All Ireland tickets. New Members to pay within 4weeks of joining the club and to access certain privileges need to be a member for 12 weeks.
The business and affairs of the club shall be under the control of the executive committee, and it shall be the controlling body of the club.
The executive committee shall consist of Chair Person, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Team Selectors 2, Captain and Vice Captain, Woman’s Development Officer. All club members are permitted to attend executive meetings and additional members may be co opted onto the executive.

The executive committee shall meet at least once a quarter and four members present will constitute a quorum.
The Chair or in his absence Vice Chair will preside over all meetings and the Secretary will minute and distribute minutes to all members.
The Club will keep all records of money received and expended and evidence where possible with receipts. The Treasurer will hold the cheque book and there are two signatories from three required to issue cheques.
The Club will appoint two auditors to audit the books and accounts of the club prior to the AGM.
Rules and Responsibilities for Members
Players Responsibilities
1.1 Players to arrive at training a minimum 15 minutes before it commences to ensure sufficient warm up.
1.2 Players expected to be suitably clothed for training and bring their own liquids for re-hydration. Due attention and effort is expected from all players during training sessions.
1.3 Players to co-ordinate transport to training and matches from their local area with the designated local driver or via the club managers, captains or secretary.
1.4 Players are required to leave the training facilities and changing rooms in a clean and reasonable condition at the end of each training session / match.
1.5 During matches any on-field dispute between members of the Glaschu Gaels should be dealt with in the dressing room by the club managers / captains. Any issues that a squad member wishes to raise to the club management can be done so directly to the managers or via the club captains.
1.6 As the team with the best discipline record in
1.7 Players are required to follow an appropriate diet during the training months as outlined by the club trainer(s). This includes an alcohol ban when enforced by the management.
1.8 Players are required to attend matches dressed in the club polo’s (the same colour) and tracksuits. If a player does not have club clothing for a match day then the club will provide clothing where possible.
1.9 Players are asked to inform the club management at the beginning of the season or ASAP of any planned holidays or other events which may affect their ability to field for matches.
1.10 Players to note that a training register will be put in place for all training sessions / matches which the club management will use when selection for matches arises. If a player has a valid reason for not attending training, then the club managers must be notified in advance.
Members Responsibilities
1.11 Club members and injured players will be expected to support the male and female teams during games.
1.12 Club members are expected to support all club functions where possible i.e. races nights and sponsorship fundraising.
1.13 Where possible, club members are requested to use the facilities of our sponsors during socialising.
1.14 Each member of the club to attend at least one county board meeting per year when required by the club.
1.15 Members are required when representing the club to wear club gear to highlight and promote the club.
1.16 Members to pay for new club clothing upon issue by the management.
1.17 Club members to make all possible efforts to attract new players & members.
Members at all times to conduct themselves within the aims and objectives of Association. Failure to adhere to rules would result in disciplinary proceedings.
